Dieter, you created really a simple counter, ant this would have been even easier if the action &#039;Increment&#039; on exiting a slide or in the list with actions in the Advanced actions dialog box was still there, but it got lost in CP5.

You are correct, that I didn&#039;t mention my work flow wouldn&#039;t work if the question slides were not in sequence but distributed in a file. For several groups of question slides however you could use it to count for each group separately using the same advanced actions for the last slide before the question slide and on the master slide. Example: 5 questions in a pretest would be numbered 1-5, later on 5 questions in a final test could also be numbered 1-5 instead of 6-10, using the same master slide for all the questions, deleting the total number of questions to avoid confusiong. That was another use case I had in mind, but did not explain.
