Some time ago I found a picture on Twitter that reminded me of ancient Latin graffiti, found in Pompei. It could be written on a wall there (and probably is, in a movie like A Funny Thing Happened On My Way To The Forum).
Texts like:
- I detest beggars. If somebody asks for something for free, he is an idiot; let him pay his cash and get what he wants.
- Here slept Vibius Restitutus all by himself his heart filled with longings for his Urbana.
- He who has never been in love can be no gentleman.
